Pictures from T&D Summer Finals 2023

Squash Ontario COVID-19 updates.

Please play at a level to suit your squash ability.
All Captains & club Pros should match players in the appropriate division in line with the players abilities. Players playing at a division level lower than their squash playing ability results in one sided matches, and is of no benefit to either player. Furthermore, this does not reflect the true spirit of competitive squash in the T&D.

To all Clubs & Captains ...... the DUNLOP double yellow dot ball is the official ball of the T&D Men's Squash League & must be used in all league matches.

1. GENERAL RULES
MASTERS & ALL SUMMER DIVISIONS WINTER DIVISIONS 1, 2, 3, 4
Teams consist of 4 players. Teams consist of 5 players.

1. PLAYER POSITIONS.
Prior to the start of the match team captains will exchange lists of players ranked in ability (from No. 1 to No. 5) and the matches are between players of equal rank. All matches are best three out of five games.

A player may only move 1 team position up or down from the position played on the last League appearance, and is relative to the last match played with the other team players.
Failure to comply with this rule will result in a default at the position played. (See Rule 16).

The intent of the rule is to prevent sandbagging but there are times where a player may move up or down more than one position depending on the team composition.
Everyone should move only one position relative to the other players that they played with on their last match where they both played.

Should a captain be unsure of proposed lineup positions, send proposed line-up to your statistician for verification well in advance of the match

2. CLUB STARTING TIMES & DAYS OF PLAY
Club starting time to be no earlier than 6.30 pm. no later than 7.40 pm. The nights of League play including playoff matches are as follows & are only changeable with League Executive approval. See Playoffs Note 4:

 Division 4 (Summer)Masters

3. STARTING TIMES & ORDER OF PLAY.
Each club has its own starting time. Captains should confirm details in advance of the match, by phone or by e-mail or by checking the schedule on the website. (Captains Duties Note 2).
If either team is late in arriving, and the player due to play is not ready, the opposing team player will be awarded that match and the next lowest sequential players should begin their matches. eg. If players 5 and 4 are due to play, and player 4 is not ready to play, the match will be defaulted and awarded to the team whose player is ready, and the position 3 matches may commence. If both captain's agree, the higher positions may play ahead of the lower captain's but the captain whose player is ready does NOT have to agree to allow a higher position to play first and may declare match defaulted and take the points.
Play should commence with the lowest ranked players unless the teams agree otherwise i.e. No. 5 s first & proceed numerically in order to No. 1 s. (See Playoff Rule 9 for finals).

4. SCORING
Division 1 PAR to 11
Division 2 PAR to 11

Referees must be selected from active playing members of the team, unless both captains agree otherwise. If a player refuses to have a referee for his match the match will be forfeited. For playoffs see Playoff Rule 4.

7. REPORTING
Team captains must submit match result via the www.squashnut.com web site within 24 hours of the match.
